Dark chocolate cake is simply to die for. Chocolate cake is the most amazing moist, chocolatey perfection. This is what you’ve been dreaming of!
The whole dessert was drenched in semi-sweet chocolate ganache. My fridge is always filling up with this dessert. I’ve always loved dark chocolate cake. A simple cake itself a divine, but when it paired with ganache… it’s downright decadent.
This delicacy gathers a huge demand. You won’t believe, it doesn’t be left alone with its temptation.

Let's jump to the recipe,
Yield – 8 pieces
Timing – 20 minutes
Prep time – 20 minutes
Total- 40 min
Ingredients:
Flour- 1.5 cups
Unsweetened dark cacao powder- 1/3 cups
Baking soda- ¼ tsp
Baking powder- ¼ tsp
Egg- 2 nos.
Brown Sugar- 1/3 cup
Oil- ½ cup
Warm water- ½ cup
Vanilla essence- 9 ml
Blueberries for decoration
For ganache-
Dark chocolate 80%- 80 gm
Milk- 100 ml
Butter- 1 tsp
Method-
Prepare the dry ingredients
Place the large mixing bowl and sieve the flour, unsweetened cacao powder, baking powder and baking soda. Mix everything together. Keep aside for a while.
Now, prepare the wet ingredients
Place another mixing bowl and add eggs, whisk it. Gradually, add sugar while whisking the eggs. Then, add oil, vanilla essence and warm water needed if the batter becomes a bit thick. Whisk until the sugar dissolves well.
Further, gradually add prepared dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. And mix it up nicely using the cut & fold method.
Mould preparation
Line up the baking mold or tray and brush with oil and sprinkle flour. Place parchment paper to avoid stickiness. Set it aside..... Meanwhile, preheat the oven for at least 5 minutes.
Now, pour the prepared batter into the mold and tap the mold to avoid air bubbles. Now, bake in the oven. Set oven at 170℃ (338°F) for 15-25 minutes.
Further, allow to cool for a few minutes, further transfer to a cooling tray to cool completely. Now, make sugar syrup by adding 1 tsp of sugar well dissolve in 1/4 cup of water. Then, sprinkle over the cooled baked cake.
Prepare the Ganache
Heat a pan by adding milk. Wait for it to boil. Now, add the chocolate and mix over the main brain vessel. Mix well.
Finally, pour the prepared ganache over the cake, spread it well and decorate with any fruits or your choice of decoration but I use blue berries here. Because I think blueberries go very well with chocolate.
Note- 1) Heavy cream can also be used to make Ganache.
2) The baking time may take more or less; it only depends on the oven model.
3) Checking the baking method- by inserting a knife or toothpick into it and if the knife comes out clean, it means that it is perfectly baked.
Storage- It's incredibly delicious, so you don't need to store it, but you can refrigerate it for up to a week if needed.
