Dill- Soa sabji

Dill leaves recipe has a distinct flavor and unique taste. This is a delicious leafy vegetable recipe and loaded with lots of health benefits and nutrients. Suva or Soa or Sepu commonly name in English is Dill leaves. It has lots of recipes including dips.

Simple and very less time-consuming recipe. Personally, I really love the aroma of these leaves. You can combine it with potatoes or tofu as well or stir fry recipe.

Let’s jump to the recipe,


Yield – 2 servings

Timing – 20 min

Prep time – 15 min

Total- 35 min


Ingredients:

Dill/ Soa / Sepu – 300 gm

Onion – 1 medium, chopped

Tomatoes – 1 small, chopped

Oil – 3 tbsp

Cumin seeds – 1 tsp

Garlic – 1 tsp, chopped

Green chili – 2 nos., chopped

Turmeric powder – 1 tsp

Red chili powder – 1 tsp

Black pepper – ½ tsp, grounded

Water – approx. ½ cup

Salt to taste


Method-

1st Step- Wash the dill leaves with water, then roughly chop the soft part and leafy parts.


2nd Step- Heat the pan with oil and add cumin seeds, lets crackle it. Then add chopped garlic, onions, green chili, sauté it quickly. Add tomatoes, stir well until it gets soft. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, black pepper powder and stir it for a second. Add chopped dill leaves in it sauté it nicely.


3rd Step- Cover it with lid if it's needed. Sprinkle some salt as per your taste and water as required for curry. Sauté it gradually for the next 10 minutes. Turn off the flame and serve it hot with Roti/ Bread or rice.


Note- you can skip any powder spices. 

Storage- As leafy vegetable contain Iron, So it cannot fresh longer after cooking. Hence, consume it quickly.
