The guacamole recipe is super simple to prepare and consume immediately. Fresh taste, high quality full of Vit K. It has many benefits. Cilantro and citrus flavor give this classic guacamole an extra kick. It is Mexican recipe which is easy to make especially for breakfast when you are in a hurry to make something delightful yet healthy. So, it's the best choice to upgrade your breakfast.
The recipe is quick, all you need is (Haas) avocados, onion, tomatoes, chili, lime juice, salt, pepper and if you like garlic, add it as well. Easy & delicious!
I have never tasted avocados in India. Avocados can be easily found in supermarkets in Poland. Avocado has no flavor of its own. It has a rich, mild, buttery flavor. Therefore, the rest of the ingredients were added to give it an aromatic flavor.
This recipe has become one of my favorite dips since I tried it.
If you haven't tried it yet, believe me! Try it soon, you will love this taste. Serve it as a dip at a party or spoon it on tacos as a quick dinner idea or spread it on freshly toasted bread for breakfast and finally dip in with a tortilla as a snack.
Let's jump to the recipe,
Yield – 2-3 servings
Timing – 5 minutes
Prep time – 5 minutes
Total- 10 minutes
Ingredients:
Avocado- 1 pc. ripe
Onion- 1 small, finely chopped
Tomato- ½ small, finely chopped
Green chili- 1 no, chopped
Lemon juice- 1 tsp
Salt- ¼ tsp or more to taste
Black Pepper powder- ¼ tsp
Cilantro leaves- 2 tbsp, (optional)
*Garlic- 1 clove, finely chopped (optional)
Method-
Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit and peel off. You can peel it off easily as it is ripe enough. Put in a mixing bowl. Roughly mash the avocado with a fork or mash them chunky or smooth as you like.
Add the remaining ingredients one by one. Mix them together.
Serve the guacamole with hot toasted bread or as a dip with tortilla chips. Enjoy😊
*I didn’t add garlic because I don’t like garlic in avocado. If you like it, feel free to add. In ‘authentic guacamole’ recipe contains garlic.
Note- Pick a well-ripe avocado - Look for avocados that are ripe but firm. You definitely don’t want soft and mushy avocado or overripe. First, grab an avocado that still has the stalk attached. If the stem has been removed in the store, it’s more likely to have brown stains inside. Check for ripeness by gently pressing the outside of the avocado, if you feel it softening a little, the avocado is ripe enough. (If it feels a little harder, the avocado isn’t ripe yet and if it’s too soft, the avocado might be overripe)
Storage- Guacamole oxidizes and turns brown easily, so lime juice helps to slow down this process. Better to consume immediately.
