Lachha Pyaz- Onion Salad

Lachha Pyaz is one of my favorite salads. You will like this recipe if you make it in the same way. Onion Salad is a multipurpose flavor enhancer that goes well with any meal. Aren’t you craving this dish?

No meal is complete without Onion Salad. . .

Onion salad is such an irresistible salad to choose from. It is a classic salad that comes from my kitchen to yours. Thinly sliced onion is mixed with roasted chili, and mustard-flavored punch makes the dish super delicious.


These thin slices are called “lachha” in Hindi & Onion is “pyaz”. Hence, the recipe is known as “Lachha pyaz”.


Yield – One onion

Timing – 2 minutes

Prep time – 2 minutes

Total- 4 minutes



Ingredients:

Dried red chili- 1 pc

Onion- 1 small, sliced

Mustard oil- 1 tsp

Salt to taste



Method-

Turn on the flame and roast the dried red chili over a direct fire. Then, crush the roasted chili in a mixing bowl. Add sliced onions, spoonful of mustard oil and salt to taste. Mix well.


Now, your onion salad is ready to be served.

Enjoy your meal!!


Note- Mustard oil enhances the taste, but you can use olive oil as well.   

Storage- Use it up immediately, otherwise the onion smells later.
