Panch Phoran- how to make it?

Panch Phoran is also called Panch Puran. Well, there are several spellings that vary. The name means a mixture of “five whole spices” that’s mainly used in flavor base in many recipes. It has medicinal properties. This combination is aromatic.


Let's get started,


Yield – prepare as per your requirements

Timing – 3 min

Prep time – 3 min

Total- 6 min


Ingredients:

Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp

Carom seeds – 1 tbsp

Fennel seeds – 1 tbsp

Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp

Fenugreek seeds – 1 tbsp



Method-

In a bowl, add cumin seeds, carom seeds, fennel seeds, mustard seeds, and fenugreek seeds all together, mix it. And fill in a clean and dry container. Use it as a phoran or tempering to enhance the flavor of your dish.


Store – Panch phoran can be stored in a dry area in an air-tight container without a refrigerator.
