This Spinach Paratha has a beautiful vibrant green color and is a fantastic healthy alternative. Palak Paratha is simply called “Spinach Paratha”. This recipe is a healthy mouthwatering unleavened Indian flatbread that is crispy on the outside & soft from inside. I’ve always found this to be the best way to include spinach in our diet.
Serve this tasty flatbread for breakfast with butter, yogurt or pickle or your choice of curry. And if you your kids don’t like greens then try this paratha, they’ll love it.
Let's jump to the recipe,
Yield – 3 servings
Timing – 25 minutes
Prep time – 15 minutes
Total- 40 min
Ingredients:
Spinach- ½ cup, cooked and paste
Green chili- 2 nos., paste
Universal Flour- 2 cups
Olive oil- 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Water required for kneading
Method-
Boil the spinach and then paste it into the grinder by adding the green chili. Now, place a mixing bowl, add flour, prepared spinach paste, oil, and salt to taste.
Knead the dough by gradually adding water. Make a soft dough. No need to rest the dough. You can make immediately.
Prepare small ball from the dough. Then, roll it flat round shape about 10-12 cm diameter and 3-5 mm thick with the help of rolling pin. Dust with dry flour on the surface before rolling to avoid stickiness.
Heat the griddle, add prepared Paratha to it. Turn the flame on medium heat. Bake it nicely by turning both sides. Apply sufficient oil on both sides. Flip it by turning all over. Cook well. And serve hot with yogurt, pickle or with your choice of curry.
Note- Cook each side nicely for around 3-4 minutes. Adding oil makes the Paratha more crunchy, tastier and can be stored longer than before.
Storage- It can be stored in a refrigerator for up to 2 days.
