The best thing in life is to satisfy your sweet tooth with delicious yet nutritious sweets. The festival always arrives in winter. The beginning of the harvest season. A very auspicious day because harvest means food and food means sustenance.

India celebrates this festival under different names and customs. Til ke ladoo is one of the most popular sweet balls, that Til & Gud makes. So, Til and Gud are Hindi words, Til means sesame, and Gud means Jaggary.


These sweet balls not only taste delicious with a nutty aroma but are also rich in iron and calcium. Moreover, it provides many nutrients that strengthen the immune system.

Let's jump to the recipe,


Yield – 10-12 pcs

Timing – 20 minutes

Prep time – 10 minutes

Total- 30 minutes



Ingredients:

Sesame seeds- 2 cups (black)

Jaggary- 1 ½ cup

Ghee- 2 tbsp

Cardamom- ¼ tsp

Water- 2 tbsp, optional



Method-

Heat a pan, add the sesame seeds, and roast for 5-6 minutes. Transfer it to another plate and reheat the pan. Add ghee and jaggary, sauté until well melted. Then add the roasted sesame seeds, mix well. Add cardamom powder and mix quickly again.


Further, turn off the flame and keep aside for 5-6 minutes, then take a small portion from the mixture and bind it together with the help of your palm. To avoid stickiness, grease your palm with ghee and make a ball.


Serve to the sweet lovers😊

Note- Don’t overcook the jaggary otherwise it burns easily. Water is completely optional. If you find binding of ladoo not easy, then add just 2 tablespoons of water while jaggary melts. (While binding the ladoo be careful jaggary is it bit hot).

Storage- Keep stored in airtight container for a month in cool and dry place without a refrigerator.
