VEG HAKKA NOODLE

Veg Hakka Noodle is a popular Indo-Chinese dish made with lots of green veggies and noodles in a delicious sweet and sour sauce. Serve with Schezwan sauce Manchurian or Paneer/ Chicken Chili. You can eat this dish without any side dish as it is full of taste. I can’t resist having a spicy delicious Veg Hakka Noodle? So, what are you waiting for? Let’s cook together.

Yield – 1 serving

Timing – 10 minutes

Prep time – 15 minutes

Total- 25 min


Ingredients:

Noodles- 4 pcs, boiled

Oil- 5 tbsp

Green chili- 4 nos. chopped

Garlic- 1 clove, finely chopped

Ginger- 1 tsp, finely chopped

Onion- 1 small, (juliennes)

French bean- 50 gm, chopped (fresh or frozen)

Carrot- 50 gm. (shredded)

Green bell pepper- 50 gm (juliennes)

Red bell pepper- 50 gm (juliennes)

Cabbage- 160 gm (juliennes)

Salt & pepper to taste

Hot sauce- 1 tbsp

Tomato ketchup- 2 tbsp

Soy sauce- 1 tsp

Apple cider- 1 tsp (vinegar)

Spring onion- 3 strings, chopped



Method-

Heat the pan with water. In a boiling water pour few drops of oil. Add noodles and boil for 2-3 minutes. Don’t overcook. Strain the noodles and rinse them with chilly water. Sprinkle a little oil and mix the noodles to avoid it from sticking to each other. Keep it aside.


Set a wok on medium high flame. In a heated wok, add oil, green chili, garlic, ginger, and petal of onions. Sauté it for a minute. Further, add juliennes cabbage, carrot, red bell pepper, green bell pepper and chopped French beans, mix well. Add salt & pepper as per your taste. Sauté it for 2-3 minutes.


Now, add soy sauce, hot sauce, tomato ketchup, apple cider, mix quickly. Add the boiled noodles, toss well for 3-4 minutes. Then, the veg Hakka noodles are ready to be served.


Note- Don’t overcook the noodles. Chili can be adjusted by your taste. 

Storage- It can be stored in a refrigerator. Heat up when you eat.
